At Kenny Waste Management, the mental well-being of our team is a big priority. Thanks to the generosity of one of our valued partners in the construction sector, Morgan Sindall, we’ve taken another meaningful step toward enhancing mental health support in the workplace.
Mental health challenges affect 1 in 4 people each year, and poor mental health costs employers billions annually in lost working days. By equipping our team with the skills to identify signs of mental health struggles and offer the right help, we’re fostering a more supportive environment for everyone in our organisation.
On 8-9 October 2024, Tracey McMullan our Social Value Manager completed her MHFAiders training, held by Morgan Sindall at their Salford Quays offices. Delivered by their own qualified instructors, Julie and Chris, to a wide range of Morgan Sindall’s supply chain partners, the course provided practical tools and clear guidance. Tracey shared her thoughts:
“This training was a brilliant opportunity. Morgan Sindall really went above and beyond in providing this opportunity to their supply chain, and it’s great to see how much they care about the well-being of everyone they work with. I got a lot out of it, and it’s made a real difference.”
Our partnership with Morgan Sindall is built on shared values and a commitment to making a positive impact. Just this week, our very own Social Enterprise was honoured to receive the Social Enterprise Award at Morgan Sindall’s North West Supply Chain Event, reflecting the strong relationship we’ve developed.
